Good evening, my friends. We had an easy-going day today. We visited the Quilter's Cottage in Fallbrook, California. I was on the hunt for a backing fabric for the Shop Hop 4.0 quilt...this one:

I didn't find any fabric I liked. That's okay...I'll find something somewhere else. There will be more quilt shops down the road. From there, we walked in a nearby "preserve." Good afternoon, my friends. Today we find ourselves in Patterson, California. Here's what I know about Patterson: It is known as the "Apricot Capital of the World," and holds an annual Apricot Fiesta to celebrate with many drinks, food, desserts and games. If you've been paying attention, then you'll remember I said we'd be in Tracy in my last post. I was wrong. (I know...weird, right?) We're actually some miles down the road.

Good morning, my friends. There I was, sewing away in my sewing room, minding my own business when mayhem broke loose. I nearly lost my life being mauled by a bear block. Allow me to explain.

Good morning, my friends. The promised rain has finally arrived. We're expecting rain for a good part of the week. It's just in time for my one-hour drive (both ways) to a quilt shop tomorrow. Too bad I couldn't have done it on a nicer day. Oh well. The fabric I'll see there will brighten my day.

But let's talk about yesterday, shall we? When I left you, I was heading for my slow-stitching. I was hoping I could finish it up yesterday. After stitching for an hour, I had to call it quits. Now ...

As I mentioned, I took yesterday off from blogging since I was scheduled for a DEXA scan. (No change from my last scan, which is good news.) Next Monday I'll be getting everyone's favorite "oscopy" procedure. Yeah...let's just not talk about it, okay? You'll also be happy to know that I now have a prescription so that I can get my COVID vaccine. That isn't for a couple of weeks, but I ...

Good morning, my friends. I gave myself an easy day yesterday. There were a few small tasks to take care of, and I did a Bowflex workout. Also, I pureed the watermelon given to us by our CSA farmers. I'll make some watermelon sorbet from that later today. I've made sorbet from all kinds of fruit, but watermelon is my favorite.

Since I was taking a lazy day, I didn't make it into the sewing room until late in the day. Smitty was my helper cat.
